Update: For the middle school class, "I wanted to let you know that reading material from 'The History of England' book will need to be picked up on Friday. You can arrive anytime from 7:45 to 4 pm. If these hours do not suit, please contact me to make other arrangements. Thank you, Mr. John."
Mr. John has a new life science observation and Ms. Tammy has a minor correction to the Bible memory verse (Isaiah 40:30-31 instead). Ms. Tammy will be having practice classes on Zoom for first year Spanish students in middle school: Wed, 1:00 PM, and Fri, 1:00 PM. The meeting ID for both is 4079649249. Ms. Tammy has added a new math lesson for the third period Algebra class.
At the governor's request, schools will remain closed through the end of April. We feel it is best to comply and we will continue with distance learning. Because teachers and families have worked so hard on lessons in the past few weeks, we will observe our scheduled Spring Break as outlined on the school calendar, April 10-17.
There are two primary places for you to receive updates. The fastest route is logging into Myschoolworx. Teachers are communicating through the portal and keeping grades for students in middle school and above. If you have no access, please ask Ms. Angie for help. Our secondary location is on the current lesson links page.
We are working every day to offer more support. Our primary goal is maintain the foundations of our philosophy: living books, narrations, notebooks, and the riches. Our staff is learning how to use Zoom to allow teachers to resume more responsibility. Please download Zoom if you have not already. We are using Khan Academy for more of our math students and your teacher may have already contacted you about that. We are also searching for more resources that will help us reduce the amount of paperwork.
We still encourage you to do the morning meeting and Bible readings as a daily liturgy for your family as well as the weekly riches.
