A Lot Can Happen in Two Years

Congratulations to the first crop of graduates from Harvest Community School: Abbie Bruner and Delores McMillan! Read more about our first graduation at Manning Live.

Harvest has over forty students and eight people on staff and many volunteers! We have expanded to four classes plus high school! Plans are underway to create more office space this summer.

The staff and board of Harvest have achieved many important firsts in the past two years:
  • Our first budget
  • Our first family handbook and high school addendum
  • Our first full accreditation for five years
  • Our first yearbook, Knights' Tales
  • Our first volume of school newsletters, Chronicles of Harvest
  • Our first graduation

We are also delighted about what our community is becoming:
  • A group of students joins our therapy puppy to visit our friends at Lake Marion Nursing Home every Friday.
  • Our students help care for our school pets: turtles, fish, ducks in the pond, Squirrely Girly, and Maci, our sweet little beagle.
  • Our students take ownership in maintaining our school through daily chores, weekly service projects, gardening, and yard work.
  • Our school hosts Charlotte Mason retreats and has forged strong connections to schools like ours and families like ours.

Stay tuned for more exciting news as the staff prepares for a new year!
