  • Click here for Mr. John's new lesson plans. During the week, he will send observations for Life Science middle schoolers to you through Myschoolworx and we will post them here: May 6 and 10 Life Science Observations. The mold experiment for the biology class is ongoing as you can see in the following photos (one, two, three).
  • Ms. Kathy will be in touch with individual students to make sure all work is turned in for grading. The middle school classes are preparing for the Richard III trial this week for a final project. The Those who have not finished reading Daughter of Time need to do so. Students will be assigned to teams and the defense meets on Wednesday via Zoom and the prosecution on Thursday. Here are lesson plans for 2nd Period High School Literature/Writing and 7th Period High School Literature/Writing.
  • Scroll down to the bottom for Ms. Angie's lessons for Bible and Spanish and for Ms. Tammy's lessons for math, Spanish, and the Feast (middle and high school--including Zoom options for Spanish and the Feast).

Ms. Angie's Lessons
  • Duolingo is due for high school Spanish students and grades are posted in Myschoolworx.
  • Instead of studying a memory verse, high school Bible students must turn in one written narration of a Bible reading from this week. Send the narration to Ms. Angie by text, private message, email, or on Myschoolworx.

Ms. Tammy's Lessons
  • Students in middle and high have the option to do picture and composer study through Zoom. They can continue working on their own and sending in written narrations or they can attend one of three Zoom gatherings: Mon at 2:00, Tue at 1:00, or Thu at 1:00. (All my meetings have the same ID: 407 964 9249. I will send a link and the same password right before the meeting begins.)
  • Middle and high school students can get extra credit or make up Feast work by watching the following Khan Academy videos about Giotto's frescos in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4 and writing a narration of what interested them. Send a picture of the narration to Ms. Tammy by text or Myschoolworx.
  • Middle and high school students can get Feast extra credit by writing a letter or drawing pictures to go to friends at Lake Marion or Windsor Manor or by any kind of art project or skillful work involving the hands. Send a picture to Ms. Tammy by text or Myschoolworx. The handwork projects submitted so far are quite impressive!
  • 1st Period - 30 minutes per day by working smarter, not harder. You all are doing a great job with Khan Academy!
  • 4th Period - 30 minutes per day by working smarter, not harder. Zoom tutoring is available every day  -- Mon at 10:00, Tue at 7:30 PM, Wed at 10:00, Thu at 7:30 PM, and Fri at 10:00. (All my meetings have the same ID: 407 964 9249. I will send a link and the same password right before the meeting begins.)
  • Precalculus, Honor Geometry (2nd Period) - We will keep in touch as we have been since long-distance learning began. You all are doing a great job with independent work!
  • Honors Algebra I (3rd Period) - This week we will have two Zoom to wrap up the chapter on solving simultaneous equations. We will meet Mon at 3:00 and Wed at 3:00. Students who turn in work late will have extra Zoom lessons. Corrections for Lesson 4 and 5 are due Tue. Turn in Lesson 6 and 7 as soon as possible so that corrections can be turned in for Lesson 6 on Thu and Lesson 7 on Fri. (All my meetings have the same ID: 407 964 9249. I will send a link and the same password right before the meeting begins.)
  • Spanish - First year students have the rest of the school year off! You have worked hard to learn conversational skills in Spanish. Ms. Tammy have Zoom meetings with all second year and above students this week to practice material studied since social distancing began (scripts for (1) 4H, days of the week,(2) weather, and (3) seasons). The meetings are Mon at 1:00 PM and Wed at 1:00 PM and Fri at 1:00 PM. (All my meetings have the same ID: 407 964 9249. I will send a link and the same password right before the meeting begins.)
  • Bible Memory Verse - Due Friday, May 8, write a narration of a passage from the Bible that has meant a lot to you during the past two months.
