Fostering Relationships

The Atmosphere We Breathe

  • We desire an atmosphere for children to forge relationships with their Creator, their community, and their world.
  • We read living books (classics and the best of modern offerings) because knowledge is not boxed into subjects.
  • We assess understanding by seeing what children discuss, draw, and write in their notebooks. Workbooks are a rarity.
  • The whole person also needs art, music, poetry, handwork, nature study, Spanish, and Shakespeare in their week.
  • We cherish what people in Clarendon County have to offer and seek collaboration with the community.
  • We have strong relationships with homeschoolers who introduced this way of learning to the area.

Children are born persons,
    Created in God's image
With a calling for their lives.

They are not percentiles.
    They long to have relationships
    With their Creator and
What flows out of God's creation.

Feel deep...
